Family Time

The last few weeks have been such a blur, but I will do my best to document them with pictures...

The babies' cords finally fell off, so bath time was imminent!  Neither James or Julia had any complaints, although I wouldn't say that they loved their "tub time." My "helper," Emmy was in the middle of the mix as well (every time I turn around, there she is!)  I had to fight her for the bath supplies because it seemed she thought she was going to be the one bathing them...

My other helper, Hannah.  She was hard at work unloading my cabinet.

Shampooing those golden locks.

I attempted to place James in Hannah's arms and she kind of flopped him over.  I'll be sure not to do that again any time soon.

Emmy, on the other hand, was elated to hold them both at once.

Mimi and all the babies, she has taken such incredible care of each and every one of us.

Auntie Kristi came to join us  for a few days (thank the Lord for Grandma Sacksteder who watched the Sacksteder children so that Kris could make the trip out!)  Both of my girls idolize Auntie Kristi.

Kris' newest fans.

Kris mastering the double feeding.

Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, Jules.

Surrounded by love.

Auntie Kristi took Emmy to the library to stock up on new books, and then read them all to her over a popcorn and lemonade snack.

We went to a local pumpkin patch with the Sacksteder crew.  I won't lie, it wasn't our best outing between chasing a pouty Sissy, getting lost in a scary clown "maze" and Clairey puking all over Kris. Nick carried the twins in the new large Baby K'tan that I accidentally bought from a consignment sale without taking note of the size.  So glad one of us fits in it. I kept giving him the stink eye from afar as he stood in the shade with the twins and I was truckin' all over the patch chasing an over-tired Sissy. :-P

Shared feeding time.  Not very lady-like, but it gets the job done!

Papa and Mimi and their 7 grandbabies! (Courtesy of Kris and her mad photography skills.)

Another Kris photo...This was before our outing began to unravel.

Mimi loving on James.

My sweet boy.

Our tiny Jules has the biggest, most beautiful eyes. :)

Auntie Kristi's handiwork...BRILLIANT!

Andy inducting James into the man club.  No doubt he is grateful to get their membership up!

Clairey and Jules are pretty in purple...Grandma Sack is there for support. :)

The boys!

A little out of order...Back to the pumpkin patch!

I love Sissy trying to reach the hole. :)

Our brood!

Emmy actually asked me to take her picture and then offered up a non-silly face????

  2. I love all of these pics!!! Question, I only have one baby now. I wonder, what do you fo when it's the middle of the night and they are both fussing at the same time--for those LONG fussy periods? Many nights I fall back asleep w a baby in my arms and awake an hour later. Mine fusses until she is held. I've been wondering how you do it. Are your babies just way more accustomed to not being held bc there's no other option? Do you just have to let them fuss? How do you do it? I had to vacuum w baby in the sling and clean the whole house bc she'd fuss.
