The past two weeks since Nick took command of Bravo Company has been nothing short of chaos. He has been clocking in no later than 7 in the morning, and most nights coming home well after 8pm...and he spent four days at Fort Rucker in Alabama doing some simulator training. He is impressed by his soldiers and is looking forward to settling into his job so that he can begin accomplishing the goals that he has established for himself.
I got the de-brief on Family Readiness Group leadership from my girlfriend, and have since dove into my responsibilities head first. My calendar has filled up quickly with meetings, brunch, lunch and dinner functions. Emmy has been a super trooper as I have been camped out at the computer fielding e-mails, and have been running all over town trying to get stuff in order...And I haven't even begun work on my 10 year high school reunion yet, let alone cleaned my house since she was born...This ought to be interesting.
I wish I had some photo documentation from Nick's special farewell, but cameras are forbidden on the compound where Nick used to work. So, when in doubt, post Emmy pictures! :-D
Wow-congrats to Nick on the transition! You guys sound BUSY.....I'm tired keeping up :)
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA... I love the "sisterly love", especially because I know how the sibling rivalry is already in full swing :) Give Nicholas a high-five for us...and high-five yourself, too, Ali Momma/Wifey!
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is SOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!! It should be on a card!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with everything. You sound so busy. I am totally impressed you can handle it all. Good for you. Hopefully you'll be able to sneak a spa day in there somewhere.
Congratulations, Nick! You are doing an amazing job and we're proud of you and honor your service.
