Mother's Day started early for me this year. 4 o'clock in the morning, Hannah wanted my company. After a good feeding, and about an hour more of sleep, Emmy was calling my name! I think it was just to see my smiling face, because all she needed was her bobby and to be re-tucked in. About an hour after that, she must've realized that our visit was too short, because she decided to wake up for the day! Her timing was good, though, because we needed to start pulling ourselves together to get to church for sweet Hannah's Baby Dedication (which bears it's own blog post.) After church, I made my way to the kitchen to begin preparing a dish for my dear friend, Marin's surprise going away party that afternoon. I took a break from mincing water chestnuts when I realized that my house was eerily quiet. I decided to check it out...

Obviously, their love for me is all-encompassing. ;) |
P.S. They spoiled me rotten with some delicious sushi take-out and chocolate fondue the night before, as well as three red roses, one from each of my loves. The Lord has blessed me richly to be so loved by my family.
