For the past week, the meteorologists have been warning that inclement weather was approaching...They were forecasting a whopping 5 inches of snow dumped on us come Friday early morning! I bought into the hype and went to the grocery store yesterday (along with many a retired folk) to stock up on food, because, by the sounds of it, we would surely be snowbound before daybreak. By the four o'clock news yesterday, the ticker was already reading of school closures based on the anticipated weather. Rumor had it that Fort Campbell would also be closed in an effort to keep people off the roads.
Well, imagine my surprise when I woke up to feed Emmy at 6 o'clock this morning, and peered through my blinds, and instead of seeing the winter wonderland that I had expected, I saw a whole lot of dead weeds (aka our grass) and not even a fleck of frost. So, Emmy and I decided to pass the time until the winter weather blew in (and Nick came home from work) and took some pictures in our snowflake jammies in honor of the impending snow!
P.S. The snow is here, and Nick is home...He is napping peacefully with Emmy on his chest as I type this...I couldn't be happier being snowbound with my whole family :-).

Emmy and her pouty lips.

A thoughtful smile

I admit it, I am a total sucker for her puppy dog eyes...Hopefully I can get over it by the time she is older and is asking me for more than a meal.
So freaking cute!!!! Glad the snow finally pulled through for you three!
