Family pictures are my favorite gift each year. Photographers in Tennessee were much better priced (as was most everything) than here in California. So I originally asked one of the other partners who is an artist and an amateur photographer (from Russia!) if she wouldn't mind taking a photo of our family. She, very graciously, agreed and after a rain cancellation, we finally made it to the designated park. I'm pretty sure our kids totally overwhelmed her. She had thought that it would be best to have them someplace where they could be natural and she'd photograph them playing, but they weren't still enough to really get many pictures and the lighting was a little nutty, too. So, I pulled my camera out after we got home to get some more photos of the kids and called in my reinforcement for our family photo: Kris. She has an awesome trigger finger and my kids love and admiration. We met she and her brood at a walking trail near her house one morning and were done with both families' photos in under 10 minutes.
