Nick called me from KUWAIT to let me know that his flight leaves at midnight tonight!!!!! He should be arriving in Atlanta between 7 and 9 am EST TOMORROW MORNING!!!!!!! As of right now, he has a plane ticket from Atlanta to Nashville that will land around 3PM our time, but he is going to try to get a seat on an earlier flight as soon as he lands in the states!!!!! HE'S ALMOST HOME!!!!!!!!!
He told me that his Brigade Commander, COL Gaylor, arranged for him to relax in the VIP lounge with all of the colonels and command sergeant majors (non-military speak: really important high ranking people). Nick is so appreciative. He's traveling home with one of his soldiers who is hoping to make it back in time for the birth of his first baby! There is some serious excitement in the air! :-D
Back home, the cars are detailed, the yard is manicured (as much as it can be in the wintertime), the dogs are washed, the house is immaculate, the fridge is stocked, all of our errands have been run, our airport outfits are laid out; we couldn't be more ready to have my Nick/Dada home!!!!! At this rate, he'll probably get home before my newly shampooed carpets dry!!!!! HALLEJUAH!!!
