Amelia Bedelia
Since Nick has been away for the week, I have been focused on trying to adopt a new routine with Emmy (as much as she'll let me). It hasn't gone quite as I had planned, but because I am now uber-flexible, I'm ok with that. So, I read Emmy her first bedtime story last night...It took me a little longer than I had hoped to change her diaper, put on her jammies, take the dogs out to go potty, fill up my water bottle, find my Boppy and climb into bed with all my girls. By the time I cracked open Amelia Bedelia, my Emmy was fast asleep. Mission accomplished, I guess...

HER SMILE!!!! It's the picture I've waited forever to see!!! Honestly Ali, even though you didn't get to read the story to a wakeful Emmy, your mission was successful :)
ReplyDeleteIt has taken me about 7 weeks to read a story to an awake baby.....I have no doubt your moment was absolutely priceless none the less!!! (P.S., you're a really good mom b/c I read much shorter stories ;))
