I had been thinking for quite awhile that it would be so fun to take the kids to Disneyland. They were at ages old enough to be able to full enjoy it and still excited about the Disney characters. But, the cost of taking our crew would be significant, so I shelved the idea. A short time before Christmas, we got a FedEx envelope in the mail with 2 day passes to Disneyland. I could hardly believe it. After some sleuth work I found that they had been sent by Nick's cousin, Laura, who had a client at work who had a Disney hookup. I am awestruck how God knows the desires of our hearts and then presses it onto the mind of someone else (who is totally unaware) and mobilizes them to act on it. There is one Holy Spirit that binds us all.
We had an open long weekend the end of January for a teacher workday. Because it was a random weekend on the off season, the crowd was pretty sparse. We went on so many rides (especially the cars ride!), and saw so many characters (to include James' very favorite, Moana.) We ate yummy foods off the "best of foods at Disney" list we located on Pinterest. We especially devoured the Dole Whips and beignets. We had such a spectacular time.

Oh boy! Daddy was excited to go on the Guardians of the Galaxy ride, but we quickly realized why we didn't see very many little kids in the line! It was like a possessed elevator!

Goofy's kitchen is an all-you-can-eat buffet with ALL of the kids favorite foods. It was gluttonous! They licked their plates clean. There were a bunch of Disney characters milling around, too! As it turned out, Hannah, got to bring the class stuffy with her on the trip, and it was involved in a fun game of keep away with Chip and Dale! Needless to say, her journal entry for the weekend was extra special!
