Molly's Adventure

The kids were embroiled in a fast-paced game of hide and seek the front door was unknowingly left open.  I'm not even sure how long it was open before I realized that my little furry shadow hadn't been on my heels. I tore through the house looking for her, but my efforts turned out dry.  I took off running down the street shouting for Molly, with all the kids following suit.  Still nothing.  Now the neighbors could see that something was wrong and jumped to action.  While I loaded up the kids in the van to canvas the neighborhood, they searched the street and posted on the Next-door app that Molly was missing.  An hour later, I returned home without Molly.  A short time later, there was a comment made by a concerned neighbor on our Next-door post of a "found dog" listing meeting Molly's description on the Castro Valley News facebook page.  It was Molly.  I called the number listed and learned that she had wandered up to a pest control technician who had just finished his appointment.  She had no collar on (and I'm embarrassed to admit no microchip) so he asked his client if they knew her and they didn't.  He loaded her into his truck and brought her to his home 20 minutes away in San Lorenzo.  His wife and little daughter lovingly intercepted her, bathed her and posted her picture on the Facebook page.  Our neighbors shoo-ed me away to go get Molly and went through my fridge to feed the kids dinner and get them ready for bed while I was away.  Thank you, Lord, for sending your angels to protect my family. God is so good to us.

Extracurriculars

Hannah was so excited to learn gymnastics until we arrived at the gym each week for her lesson time.  She would clam up and I would have to drag her in.  Once she got going she learned so much and had fun, but the lead up was really tough.  But she persevered, I love that about Hannah.
